Our story
A trip to Europe
The Owner & Founder, Fred Antonetty, took his family on a trip through Europe, and along the way they wandered into a small chimney cake stand that looked too good to pass up. One bite and the whole family was hooked. The crackling, sugar-crusted outside and warm, pull-apart inside were unlike anything they'd had back home.
Back home, sharing with friends & family
Fred came home to the States determined to recreate the treat in his own kitchen, testing dough after dough until he got the twist just right. He started sharing his chimney cakes with friends and family, and the reaction was always the same: total delight, and a request for more.
Alpine Twist is born
With a lifelong passion for cooking and a treat everyone kept asking for, Fred opened Alpine Twist right here in Leavenworth — a town that already felt like a little slice of Europe!
